About
Michael grew up in Southern California. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science at Vanguard University of Southern California.
After finishing his degree, he spent four years in Uganda, East Africa, working with Sudanese refugees in a settlement managed by the UNHCR. He taught for those years in local churches and in a pastoral training college for church leaders of both Catholic and Protestant persuasions. This unique opportunity inspired him to later pursue writing to communicate the many lessons learned while living among some of the poorest people in the world.

Upon returning to the States, Michael met and married his wife. Within their first year of marriage, they departed to South Korea to teach English as a Second Language at Korea Nazarene University. Michael completed his Master's Degree in Humanities from California State University, Dominguez Hills. His thesis focused upon the history of an argument in defense of dualism as it pertains to the philosophies of Roderick M. Chisholm and Richard Swinburne.
One year after completing his M.A. in Humanities Michael began teaching Humanities at Citrus College. He has built an Art History site for his students to enjoy.
As a freelance writer, Michael writes for Examiner.com (Christian Literature Examiner) and has been a regular contributor to Burnside Writers Collective. In his personal life, he enjoys reading, watching movies and spending time with his family.
